However, if you are looking to put up a glass shelf in a more standard size, please consider our glass shelf kits. Pre-fabricated and easy to install, glass shelf kits are a quick and simple shelving option.

Different types of glass available online:

Different edge works available

  • Seamed Edge: In this application, after the glass table top is cut the edges are sanded to dull the sharp edges. This is to make the glass table top safe to handle.
  • Flat Polish Edge: In this application the edges of the glass table top have been polished to a smooth shiny finish.
  • Pencil Polish Edge: Popular with circle or oval shapes, the side edge is rounded for a softer look.
  • Beveled Polish Edge: In this application the edges of the glass table top are cut and polished in an angle with a specific Bevel Width to produce a certain "look". This process leaves the glass table top thinner around the edges and thicker in the center. The Bevel Width around the glass table top can range in size from 1/4" to 1 3/4" and specified by you.

Can I order my custom glass shelves online and have them shipped?
Yes! You may customize your glass shelves online and we'll ship them anywhere in the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, all off-shore U.S. territories and P.O. Box addresses). Only rectangular and square shaped shelf glass is offered online; to order another shape, please contact our glass professionals at 1-866-452-7707, or request a quote.
How long will it take to manufacture my custom glass shelves?
After your order is received, our manufacturing process usually takes 5 to 7 business days. Once your order is fulfilled, we will ship it immediately and send you a confirmation email with tracking information.
What are the available thicknesses that I can order for my custom glass shelves?
For those ordering online, four thicknesses are offered: 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". To discuss options regarding other glass thicknesses, please contact our glass professionals at 1-866-452-7707, or request a quote.
What is a "corner finish", and what types are offered?
For all shapes with edges (i.e. – square, rectangle), corners are usually nice and sharp to create a clean line. However, if you have small children or pets, you may want to finish to corners for safety. Corner finishes offered are listed below:
  • Eased corner: glass corners are sanded down slightly to relieve sharp edges
  • Radius and polished corner: corners are cut down to a radius and then polished
  • Clip and polished corner: corners are cut down to a 45 degree angle and then polished

NO. When ordering a custom piece of glass, please keep in mind that you are ordering only the glass, not shelf hardware. After customizing your glass for shelving, please return to the glass shelf page and review your shelf brackets options for purchase.

High quality product! Glass dimensions were exact and the polishing was flawless. The product was packaged very carefully. I was worried about breakage, but everything made it in one piece. We recently purchased a 32x32 in. glass for our coffee table. The first one that came ws in a thousand pieces due to poor handling by the freight carrier...Dulles Glass, when called, advised us to throw the glass away and they would ship a replacement. Decided to use 1/4" Lexan (in rabbitted wood frames) and paned doors in lieu of glass. Worked beautifully. I was very impressed with the packaging for shipment. I wouldn't hesitate to order glass from Dulles. Everything is professionally done. I was pleasantly surprised at how accurately the dimensions were kept. I ordered oversize so I could trim to fit. Really wasn't necessary! Dimensions were much closer than the +/- 1/8" tolerance advertised. Thanks for delivering everything and more than I expected. I will be using Dulles again!

Sadly upon opening my package what I found was a box of shattered glass. The shelf was packaged good so it must have been dropped very hard. I called Dulles and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. This time the shelf was packaged extremely well plastic corner shields, cork pads, styrofoam, and a wood frame. Couldn't be more pleased. Will be doing buisness again with Dulles foe sure.

I ordered (3) pieces of (10) inch x (46) inch gray glass (for shelves) to replace (3) pieces of (6) inch x (46) inch clear glass. The glass was packed very well amd the measurements were correct. The first thing I noticed when placing the first piece of glass on a flat surface was that it looked like a piece of warped wood. There is a bow in the middle of all three pieces of glass.

I live in Georgia and ordered a large custom shelf last Friday and received it via FedEx today (Thursday)! Great website, great service and very fast shipping. I was really worried about getting such a large item to us without breakage, but the shelf was packaged extremely well with styrofoam, heavy cardboard, corner protection and cork "bumpers" all over the glass. The only thing I was a mildly disappointed in was the "eased" corners. They are really only sanded (I should have read the description better). I highly recommend this seller.

I needed a custom cutout shelf for my boutique style clothes rack, but I didn't really want one made from glass. So I opted for the acrylic sheet instead, and luckily it was a complete success. The good: Excellent packing job and the product was shipped quickly. The not-so-good: The rounded corners of the shelves are only *barely* rounded - I wish I would have known this in advance as I would have made changes to the order. One of the long edge bevels is inexpertly cut - it tapers off about 3/4 of the way down the length of the shelf. It won't affect placement because it happened to be on the side of the shelf that's going against the wall, but I would have returned the shelf had it occurred on the other long edge of the piece.

After buying a 36" L x 8" L glass shelf at Home Depot in Manhattan and carrying it home, I found out that the shelf actually measured 35" L. The mislabeling of the product delayed my project and of course caused inconveniences, namely, carrying the piece of glass back by subway to Home Depot. I found Dulles Glass Mirror on the internet and called them up to verify measurements and spoke to one of their representatives who was very helpful. I not only got a perfectly measured piece of tempered glass, but also received two brackets, and all this delivered to my apartment in a speedy way. I highly recommend Dulles Glass & Mirror.

The shelves I ordered were of good quality, the company has been very quick and efficient in processing the order and having it delivered. The only issue is that I found the delivery too expensive ($39.99 for 4 shelves) and FEDEX did not bother to check whether I was home, they delivered it straight to the management office of my residence, so I had to make additional efforts to pick them up, and they were heavy!!!

The shelves were perfect and exactly what I had ordered. The plastic covers for the corners of the glass while shipping are a great idea since the box was damaged and one corner of the shelves were sticking out. The plastic covers saved the shelves and there was no damage.

I got a shelf cut for over my kitchen sink so I could grow flowers. It was what I wanted and the glass was cut to my exact measurements. I can't wait to get it up! THANKS

I was somewhat apprehensive regarding purchasing special ordered cut glass on line. Dulles Glass & Mirror removed any reservations I had about doing so. Their easy to review and order website was great and I received my order (regular ground shipping) 5 days after I ordered my items and my order was placed on a Saturday. I will recommend Dulles Glass & Mirror and be a return customer when I have the need.

Accidentally finding Dulles Glass & Mirror on the web while researching glass shelving, I was at first skeptical that a sizeable item made of glass could be shipped without breakage. The complete range of options, ease of ordering, and certainly the price convinced me to try it, however, and I'm very glad I did. Everything arrived in perfect condition--even the late change that I called in after the order had been placed--and at about one-third the cost that a local store quoted me. The shelf was exactly what we wanted. It works perfectly. My only comment is that going from 1/4" to 3/8" inch in thickness nearly doubled the cost of the shelf. I was not expecting that. You may wish to explain on your website why this is so to help us get past the sticker shock.

I have one observation about improvement. There was an option on the order screen reguarding easing of the corners. I noticed, however, that no mention of the corner type I desired appeared on any summary or receipt. And, as it happens, I wanted eased corners. I believe my cost reflected that choice. I now have pretty sharp corners on my beautiful glass shelves. Please can anyone tell me what I could use to soften these corners? An emery of some kind? Thank you so much for the excellence of your service! My bathroom is getting more and more beautiful.

After ordering glass shelves from Dulles, they got broke by the carrier! This was due solely to mishandleing by the carrier and not Dulles Glass! The manager contacted me personally and even had my shelves delivered "Saturday Delivery"....I have been a business owner for over 30 years and have never done business with a finer group! They do what they say they will do!! What more can one ask? I look forward to doing business with them again in the near future!

Thank you for your very prompt handling of my order. We have mounted the shelf on our window to the delight of the orchids and cacti that now reside on it! It looks beautiful-an indoor garden. I will definitely order from your company again if I am looking for more glass shelves. The only problem we had was with the double sided adhesive tape for the brackets.
