How to Care for Glass Shower

Contrary to popular belief: Glass showers are not hard to keep looking new. Follow these three simple steps and your bathroom upgrade will pay you back.

1. Pick a Glass Protection: A glass protection application is the first and most important step in preserving the pristine appearance of shower glass. Glass protection is not a cleaning product, but a specially formulated application that bonds to porous shower glass surfaces forming a barrier against hard water corrosion, stains, bacteria and soap scum. The chemically bonded barrier provides a no-stick cleaning surface to repel water and dirt build-up. The application is applied to interior shower glass only.

2. Squeegee Dry Daily: Water beads on protected shower glass, making it easy to wipe down for streak-free shower glass.
3. Choose a Non-abrasive, Non-acidic Glass Cleaner: Spray both sides of the glass shower every one, two or three weeks.
   • If your glass has a protective application such as ClearShield (our recommendation), then cleaning is only necessary every two to three weeks
   • If your glass shower is not protected then you should clean the glass weekly.
