Glass Unboxing Video Recorded Through Google Glass

A common hobby amongst many early adopters and gadget enthusiasts, are to create “unboxing videos,” showing off their latest hardware. This type of video is only interesting for groundbreaking technology, such as Google Glass.

In this video, the user is actually wearing the Google Glass and recording WITH the glasses; which is a new twist on a common phenomenon in youtube unboxing videos. In one sense, it’s a great way to show off the video recording capabilities of the Google Glass, on the other hand, it’s a shame we don’t get to actually see the Google Glasses in the video!

Mirrors that make you look fatter

Mirrors with a convex (belly) surface running horizontally or vertically will stretch your reflection [making you look heavier].

Mirrors that make you look skinnier

Mirrors with a concave (bow) surface running horizontally or vertically will shrink your reflection [making you look like a Victoria's Secret model].

Mirrors that reflect your true appearance

If the mirror is flat, you will get a true reflection. It has nothing to do with the actual measurements of the mirror. But even a minimal amount of either convex or concave will distort a reflection.

Thank you Peggy! Just a tip for customers out there, when using acrylic glassless mirrors, do not opt for mirror mastic from your local Home Depot. Some kinds of mirror mastic can damage the backing of mirrors, so it’s always recommended to get the top-of-the-line mirror mastic to be safe.

Tilda Swinton Sleeping In Glass Box Installation At Museum Exhibit (SKYnews)

Yes, it’s true, the Oscar-winning ‘Michael Clayton’ actress, Tilda Swinton has been sleeping in a glass box at the New York City, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), in an exhibit called “The Maybe.” Meaning, this may be art, and this may not be. Tilda did her first snoozing performance at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 1995 — also in a glass box.

But one thing is unquestionable — Glass is art, with or without the sleeping celebrity. Glass is commonly used in art exhibits and museums, to not only showcase, but to protect precious items. New in Glass Technology: A “Sapphire” Glass for Smartphones That’s Resistant to Scratches and Impacts

GT Advanced Technologies thinks that sapphire glass could prolong the life of cell phones and other devices and protect them from rough treatment.

It seems like every month, we hear about the latest and greatest in Gorilla Glass from Corning. Now, there is talk of a new Sapphire glass, which is created from corundum (the second toughest mineral next to diamond).
