Tricky Shower Planning: What if my shower wall is dramatically out of plumb?
There are two situations where we can't conceal an out-of-plumb wall.
- You have bow-shaped wall. In this case we measure the glass to fit flush with the ends of the bow. Then seal the remaining gap in the middle with clear silicone caulking.
- Your have a belly-shaped wall. We'll measure and fit for the tightest opening. So the glass will set flush against the straightest part of the wall, which will be along the middle.. The gaps on the outer edges will then be sealed.
We find these severely out-of-plumb conditions in about 10 percent of our installations.
